Tales of Demons and Gods

Based on Mad Snail's novel of the same name, "Tales of Demons and Gods" is a Chinese donghua (animated series). The plot centers on the powerful demon spiritualist Nie Li, who dies in combat and then comes back to life in the form of his youthful self. Nie Li wants to alter his fate and defend those he loves by using the wisdom he gained from his past existence.

As Nie Li travels through the globe, he encounters both allies and opponents, overcomes a variety of obstacles, and sharpens his talents. To gain power and defend the city from the demonic animals that threaten it, he uses his insight into the future and his strong spiritual practices. The donghua explores topics such as power, friendship, love, and cultivation. It highlights grand conflicts, complex storylines, and Nie Li's development as he works to become the most powerful spiritualist and alter the course of history.
