Joy Ngeuamboupha and his Australian wife Caroline run this family-owned business, and they are always happy to explain how the foods are prepared and, more importantly, how to taste them. Tamarind also offers a culinary school, which is hosted in a gorgeous lakeside pavilion and includes an instructive market trip, for those who want to reproduce the Lao eating experience at home.
