Tamid bin Hamad Al Thani

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is the fourth son of the former King of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the 8th Amir of Qatar. Tamim became Qatar's Emir on 25 June 2013 after his father abdicated. Tamim became heir to the throne in 2003 after his older brother, Sheikh Jassim, renounced his right to the throne.
