Tantonville
It is the address to use for a café on the terrace or a lunch break after a walk around the Casbah. It is located on the plaza Port-Said (ex-Bresson), two steps from the theatre. The Tourtel-Tantonville enterprise, which has been open since 1870 and was named after the brewery created by the Tourtel brothers in this municipality of Meurthe-et-Moselle, is a landmark. The historic brewery's vast hall is now a café with a spectacular patio and a restaurant with high ceilings, mouldings, mirrors, and antique portraits of stage actors.
The Tantonville, once frequented by journalists, intellectuals, and theatre actors, has been properly kept and has its nostalgic beauty. The foods (tajines, barbecues, ragouts, boureks, etc.) are tasty and affordable.
