Terre-de-Haut
The town of Terre-de-Haut is made up of a modest shaded square in the center and a town hall. The country church, just a few yards away, is made of volcanic rock.
Take your time to explore its winding alleyways and wooden houses in peace. Stroll around the numerous natural areas and, above all, take advantage of the region's many beaches, including the Pain de Sucre Beach, the Bois Joli Beach, and the Pompierre Beach (the island's most well-known and accessible beach), and many others. Beaches are cleaned regularly to ensure the Bay's preservation.
Bourg des Saintes is a lovely village with a decidedly Norman flavor, and it is home to the majority of the island's people. Its winding streets are adorned with whitewashed red-roofed cottages with shuttered windows and hibiscus-filled yards.
Address: Easternmost island in the Îles des Saintes, Guadeloupe.
