Tesla, Inc. is an American clean energy and electric vehicle company headquartered in Palo Alto, California, USA. Tesla designs and manufactures electric cars, home-to-grid battery energy storage, solar panels and solar roof tiles, and related products and services. Tesla's vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Tesla's electric car technologies can be compared to sci-fi movies like "Back to the future." One of the technologies that Tesla will apply in the future is the self-driving car system.

Vehicles can be many different models, with a capacity of 5, 6 and 7 passengers depending on the model. The Model X builds on the Model S's large sedan platform. It is estimated that in the US, there are about 57,327 units sold as of September 2018.

The Tesla Model 3 is a four-door fast sedan. With just one week after its launch, Tesla has collected more than 325,000 pre-orders for the model. According to Bloomberg news agency, due to the number of pre-orders, "The launch of the Model 3 is unique in the 100-year history of the mass auto industry."
