Thames & Kosmos

Thames & Kosmos focuses on science instructional products, with the goal of making the subject matter more engaging, effective, relevant, and enjoyable for kids. Over 250 science kits have been created by the company, ranging from simple and inexpensive to complicated kits with hundreds of activities. Chemistry, alternative energy, robotics, astronomy, and other subjects are covered in these kits. Thames & Kosmos have also added a number of German-style board games to their portfolio.

It also produces kits under the National Geographic and The Dangerous Book for Boys trademarks, among others. The company expanded its distribution to the United Kingdom in 2012, and Thames & Kosmos UK LP was established as a subsidiary of Kosmos International GmbH in 2015. In 2013, Kosmos completed a significant investment in Thames & Kosmos and became the firm's official parent company.

T & K has received accolades from the Parents' Choice Award, The Wall Street Journal's "Best Overall Chemistry Set" in 2006 for its CHEM C3000, The Early Show's "One of Toy Fair's Hottest New Products" in 2006 for its Candy Factory, and awards from Dr. Toy and Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, among others.
