The Anderson
The former Magnum Lounge property, which once housed Miami's oldest bar, has been given new life by this The Anderson, where you can indulge your sense of nostalgia and love for '80s kitsch. The majority of what is still there and everything that has been added appears stuck in the past, evoking a period when David Bowie ruled, Pac-Man rather than Candy Crush was what you played to annoy your pals with, and jukebox music was the norm. The result is the result of the combined efforts of Jourdan Binder, Gabe Orta, Elad Zvi, and the Workshop Collective. They also engaged Vagabond chef Alex Chang to oversee the unconventional bar menu (think cool-ranch beef crackling and French escargot).
The cocktail menu adheres to the vintage motif and strikes a mix between traditional drinks like the Sex on the Beach and modern favorites like the rum-based Nobody Puts Baby In a Corner.
