The Black Winter
One of the more ancient cosmic beings in the Marvel Universe,The Black Winter performs a similar function to Galactus on a far bigger scale by devouring universes instead. The solitary survivor of the sixth version of the Cosmos was Galan, whom the Black Winter picks to be its herald and who eventually transforms into Galactus. Asgards refer to it as the Full Winter, which marks Ragnarok's beginning.
The Black Winter of today wants Galactus back as its herald once more, and when Thor attacked him in the original Marvel universe in 616, Galactus managed to flee but not without suffering some injuries. He later crashed and landed on Asgard with some dark frosts infecting the world tree. Thor is the herald for Galactus, who tells him of the Black Winter's impending destruction of five planets and how to combat it. After then, Black Winter ate another world.
The Black Winter may produce eldritch darkness-infused ice and snow that vaporizes all it touches. Similar to Galactus, it appears differently to each individual who sees it, generally taking on the shape of that person or being fated to bring about that person's death, albeit it has the ability to change forms at whim. The Black Winter can also produce convincing delusions of other beings in a person's psyche.
Although not much is known about the Winter, it has previously handily vanquished both Galactus and Thor, proving its might. Each observer sees it differently, selecting shapes that will bring about the observer's death.
