The Dabney
The wood-burning hearth, open kitchen, and exposed historic brick walls of this romantic dining venue, which is housed inside a former row home in Shaw, will make you feel like you've wandered into an upscale farmhouse. Chef Jeremiah Langhorne has created a cuisine centered on obtaining products from Mid-Atlantic farmers and vendors, as well as cultivating some on the restaurant's patio and rooftop garden. Every day, a new menu including nibbles (half dozen white stone oysters), small plates (spicy country sausage toast), and family-style dinners will be available (fried Chesapeake catfish).
Their goal is to highlight the ingredients' quality and diversity, as well as the beautiful people that raise, grow, and create them. They cook over embers in our wood-burning fireplace because it allows them to pay homage to their region's historic food culture while also allowing them to expand and create something new.
