The Eight, Chinatown

Located in the heart of Sydney city, The Eight is considered one of the best catering venues in Sydney. It's a worthy reward for getting up a bit earlier to go to this popular yum cha spot on Market City's top floor in Chinatown.

The long dining room is packed with large circular tables surrounded by colorfully covered dining chairs, giving each table the impression of a color wheel. The steamed dumpling cart and the BBQ pork buns are well worth the wait. The roast duck is juicy and tender, and the prawns in rice noodles are fresh, slippery, and divide perfectly around each small crustacean like it's snuggled into its own noodle doona. Their mango pancakes, mango pudding topped with a pool of condensed milk, and coconut jelly is a great way to round off the meal.
