The One With Monica And Chandler’s Wedding (Season 7, Episodes 23 & 24)

The Story: Speaking of anxious weddings and the flings that accompany them, the two-part finale finds Monica and Chandler marrying, with Joey serving as preacher and Rachel, Phoebe, and Ross looking on.

While the preceding entry's one caveat is that what makes it wonderful is at the expense of Emily, these two episodes manage to pull just as many good comedy punches without any additional damage. These episodes have everything, from Ross' attempts to appear physically dominant elder brother to a heartbreaking moment with Chandler looking at a newborn onesie in a gift store. They're especially effective as a "faking" narrative, in which some of the characters must divert one or two others from potentially damaging facts. In this scenario, it is Chandler's abrupt change of heart about marrying Monica.
