The Power Station
Located 5 kilometers south of Aqaba. The Power Station dive site features a vibrant coral plateau that slants from 5 to 20 meters deep, with a sheer wall drop-off that drops to more than 70 meters. The one hundred and two hundred meters contour lines on the chart meet the coast at this point. Advanced divers (or those with a higher certification level) can conduct stunning wall dives from the mooring line to the north or south.
The dive spot is only accessible by boat. Although the dive site's name is not particularly elegant, it is a beautiful wall dive that is executed as a drift from north to south.
Several giant hump-head wrasse and large moray eels have been seen here in the past. Sea turtles and stingrays are frequently seen here. Divers can see a wide variety of soft and hard corals, shrimp, nudibranches, sea stars, and other creatures on the wall. Here, sharks and other large fish are more frequently seen. The wall and drop off are breathtaking, and there is plenty of life on the reef slope and in the shallows to keep you entertained.
The Power Station dive site was named after a small oil-fired power station located north of the dive site on the coast road.
This dive site is suitable for divers of all levels, from beginners to experts. Snorkeling is also fantastic here.
