The Restless (2006)
The Restless is a South Korean fantasy film directed by Jo Dong-oh and starring Kim Tae-hee and Jung Woo-sung, released in 2006. The Korean title, Joong-Cheon, translates directly as "Midheaven". Demon Empire is another English title for the film. The Restless is a film about souls that, after death, must spend 49 days in the center of the sky before deciding whether to go to paradise, hell, or reincarnation.
In the movie, Kim Tae Hee plays a beautiful and holy fairy named So Hwa. Her mission is to be responsible for guiding and protecting the souls during that 49-day stop. The actress once shared that this is a rather challenging role, because the character is a fairy, so it is necessary to have pure and innocent acting and demeanor.
