The Room

Since its release in 2012, The Room has been widely regarded as one of the greatest pure puzzle games to have appeared in recent years. It excels at combining puzzle design and mechanics in one location, but it falls short on storyline, with only a smidgeon of a tale disclosed via notes as you go.

The Room games have always employed haptic feedback and beautiful visuals to accurately mimic the experience of manipulating tangible things, but The Room: Old Sins takes that concept to a new level. The $4.99 puzzle game is as scary as it is tough, with most of the action taking place in a black dollhouse complete with its own riddles in addition to those placed across its murky levels.
