The Smith Family

In 1992, Smith married Sheree Zampino. On 11 November 1992, their son Willard Smith III was born, and the couple separated in 1995. Willard appears in the music video for his father's song "Just Two of Us" from 1998. He also featured in 2 episodes of the comedy All of Us and on The Oprah Show and the television special David Blaine - Real or Magic.

5 years later, Smith wed actress Jada Pinkett on December 30, 1997. They first met when Pinkett applied to play the role of Smith's lover in the movie The Fresh Bachelor of Bel-Air. The Smith family have 2 kids: Jaden Syre Smith (born in 1998), who co-starred with him in The Chase of Happiness and After Earth, and Willow Reign Smith (born in 2000), who portrayed Smith's daughter in the movie I Am Legend.

Smith and Jada have spoken a lot about their unusual marriage customs, jokingly referring to their partnership as "poor marriage for life". The couple from the Smith family have confessed to extramarital affairs, as well as their strong belief that they have the right to sleep with other people. Smith even said that he desired a polyamorous romance with dancer Misty Copeland and actress Halle Berry, but abandoned the plan after undergoing therapy.
