The Tap Room at the Langham

The historic Tap Room pays homage to its forerunner, which was established right after Prohibition ended in the 1930s. Head into the Tap Room, a pub that promotes a fairly exquisite approach to beer appreciation: local, artisan brews on tap and more by the bottle, past the Langham's lobby, which is actually more of a high-tea type of place. (The lists of wines and scotches are also rather great.) The furnishings, which are made of dark wood and white cloth, the weekly jazz performances, and the traditional drinks pay homage to the hotel's beginnings as a bar from 1933.

Traditional and contemporary handcrafted drinks with strong flavors and fresh ingredients are available on the drink menu. The Tap Room also serves craft beer on tap, a diverse wine list, premium liquor, including single malt scotch, tequila, Cognac, bourbon, whiskey, and Port. Serve upscale bar food to go with your cocktails that is flavored with flavors from all over the world. The California lobster roll, which has succulent lobster chunks seasoned with Tajin and lemon butter, is a must-try. While sipping cocktails selected by the Langham, nibble on tapas dishes. On Friday and Saturday nights, the Stephen Boyd Band performs here often, keeping the atmosphere lively all weekend.
