The University of Trinidad and Tobago
The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) is among the best universities in Trinidad And Tobago and primarily focuses on the development of Trinidad and Tobago. With its genesis in the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Technology (TTIT), the University of Trinidad and Tobago initially focused on programs in engineering and technology. Today’s programs, however, go far beyond engineering and technology to a fuller spectrum of educational opportunities where experiential learning programs are incorporated into the traditional learning environment. Alternative avenues are also provided for persons to enter, exit, and re-enter tertiary education. This kind of flexibility and integration within programs; together with UTT’s leadership position in sector-driven research and innovative teaching methodologies, is a direct response to twenty-first-century global trends.
Nationals of Trinidad and Tobago pursuing Undergraduate programs are eligible for free tuition under the Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses program. The University of Trinidad and Tobago was Accredited in December 2010 by the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago.
