The Whitney Biennial

The Whitney Biennial is an exhibition of contemporary American art held every two years at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, USA. The artists featured in the exhibition are often young and less well-known. In the art world, the Whitney exhibition is frequently credited with establishing or establishing trends in contemporary art. Georgia O'Keeffe, Jackson Pollock, and Jeff Koons all benefited from its success.

It has taken a while to finally have the Whitney Biennial. The 80th edition, which was originally scheduled to begin in 2021, brings together three years of preparation and 63 artists and collectives to produce an event that its curators have dubbed "dynamic" and "timely." The fifth and sixth floors of the Meatpacking District structure are divided into two experiences as part of the "Whitney Biennial 2022: Quiet as It's Kept" exhibition.

On the sixth story is a vast, labyrinthine gallery, while on the fifth floor is an open, airy chamber where pieces are shown collectively. Each one presents a very distinct ambiance. The show captures the full spectrum of feelings we experienced during the last two years, including fear, sadness, joy, and hope. Performance will "animate" the galleries and objects, changing artwork—even walls. The exhibition's dynamic nature reflects these unsettling times.
