Susumu Fujita founded the firm in 1953 as an agricultural equipment manufacturer, producing machine components and tractor blades. It was just two years before it began producing cutlery, and thank heavens they did since they are now adored by experts and home cooks all over the world.
Tojiro believes that the most significant part of a knife for cooking is its sharpness, thus it only uses the best raw materials to begin its blades. The crew then contributes experience and the family's traditional blade-making process.
