Turfan

Turfan, a lovely and constantly crowded restaurant on the Ishim river embankment, is one of the few locations in Astana that serves Uyghur food. Hearty langhman, a soup of pulled noodles, meat, and fresh vegetables, savory manti, steamed dumpling with contents ranging from pumpkin to beef and pig, and Uzbek plov, a wonderful and substantial meal prepared with rice, beef, shredded carrots, chickpeas, raisins, and onions, are all on the menu in Turfan. But what takes the cake is its buckwheat noodles with grilled eel, which is a favorite of both residents and visitors. Among other dishes, you can try delicious lamb with eggplant or beef steak with mozzarella cheese and mushrooms. In Turfan, KazBeef steaks are some of the best in the world.
