TÜV SÜD
TÜVs (short for German: Technischer Überwachungsverein, English: Technical Inspection Association) are internationally active, independent service companies based in Germany and Austria that test, inspect, and certify a wide range of technical systems, facilities, and objects to reduce risks and prevent damage. TÜV Nord, TÜV Rheinland, and TÜV SÜD (including TÜV Hessen) are the three largest holdings, whereas TÜV Thüringen, TÜV Saarland, and TÜV Austria are tiny separate enterprises.
TÜV SÜD AG is a stock corporation based in Munich, Germany. The company does not have a stock market listing. The registered organization TÜV SÜD, which has roughly 13,500 members, owns 74.9 percent of the shares, while the TÜV SÜD Foundation owns the remaining 25.1 percent.
