Universidade Lusófona de Cabo Verde

Universidade Lusófona de Cabo Verde (Lusophone University of Cape Verde) was founded in 2007 and is a private higher-education institution based in Mindelo, Sao Vicente (population range of 50,000-249,999), which is one of the best universities in Cape Verde. The Universidade Lusófona de Cabo Verde (ULCV) is a small (enrollment range: 500-999 students) coeducational Cape Verdean higher education institution that is officially recognized by the Ministério da Educacao e Desporto, Cabo Verde (Ministry of Education and Sport of Cape Verde). The Universidade Lusófona de Cabo Verde (ULCV) offers courses and programs in a variety of fields that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees. Students at ULCV have access to a variety of academic and non-academic facilities and services, including a library and administrative services.

Ministerial Order No. 04/2016, dated April 13, authorized the Lusophone University of Cape Verde "Baltasar Lopes da Silva" to establish an Organic Unit in Praia, the country's capital. Provisional approval to teach numerous courses has been obtained, with final approval pending completion of the necessary complements in the laboratories and other facilities. The time allotted for these additions to be completed is one year. In addition to Praia, the Lusophone University of Cape Verde "Baltasar Lopes da Silva" has been teaching at the Mindelo Unit for almost 10 years, and is now one of the country's most prestigious higher education institutions, with several hundred young Cape Verdeans already licensed.
