University of Curaçao
University of Curaçao ranks 2nd on the list of the best universities in Curacao. This university has operated in its current form since 1973. Its history, on the other hand, dates back to 1970, when the Law College of the Netherlands Antilles was formed by a national order on October 6, 1970 (O.B. 1970 no. 1130) to train students for the LL.B. Antillean Law exam. After the establishment of a degree program in Business Administration, the Law College has renamed the College of the Netherlands Antilles in 1974. In 1977, the Department of Business Administration has renamed the Department of Business Administration and Public Administration, and students could now get a bachelor's degree in Public Administration as well. Finally, with the establishment of the UNA in 1979 by a national order dated 12 January 1979 (O.B. 1979 no. 12), the Antillean College of Technology (founded in 1972) was renamed the Faculty of Engineering.
Furthermore, the University of Curaçao collaborates with Dutch universities and colleges such as the University of Utrecht, Erasmus University, the University of Amsterdam (UvA), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RUG), the University of Maastricht, Fontys Hogescholen, and Rotterdam Business School.
The University of Curaçao, which provides academic and professional higher education in a wide range of subjects, concentrates primarily on applied research with a practical perspective, which means that real-life practice is an important component of our academic programs.
