University of South Africa Department of Agriculture and Animal Health
The Department of Agriculture and Animal Health is a faculty of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) School of Agriculture and Life Sciences. It includes three programs: Agriculture, Animal Health and Human Ecology.
This department offers undergraduate qualifications which are the National Diploma in Animal Health (NDANM)
University of South Africa Department of Agriculture and Animal Health also offers graduate programs with a Master of Agriculture qualification (MSc. Agriculture). It also offers various interventions included treatment of ectoparasitic infections such as hookworms, ticks and fleas, and vaccination against rabies and other viral diseases in dogs and cats. Surgical procedures comprise castration and hysterectomy. After the demonstration, students can move to another station and complete each task independently.
