University of Zululand – Animal Science

The University of Zululand, or Unizulu, is the only comprehensive higher education institution north of the Tuguela River in the state of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Its new status aligns with South Africa's national higher education plan to end inequality and costly cloning. As a result, Unizulu offers career-focused programs as well as a limited number of relevant university courses, designed with potential employees and employers in mind.

The university has partnered with the University of Mississippi, Radford University, Florida College of Agriculture and Machinery, and the State University of Chicago to expand its existing connections with a wide range of higher education institutions in the United States and Europe. Unizulu pursues the goal of scientific research in response to social issues, and community service is systematically integrated into the formal curriculum. The university aims to produce graduates with high knowledge and skills who receive civic education and actively participate in society. To do this effectively, the univerity works to develop relationships with national and international funding agencies. UNIZULU was founded with the help of Phindangene Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who at the time of establishment was the head of the institution.
