Univerzitet Metropolitan (Belgrade Metropolitan University), founded in 2005, is a for-profit private higher education institution based in the city of Belgrade (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Univerzitet Metropolitan (UM) is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: 500-999 students) coeducational Serbian higher education institution that is officially recognized by the Ministarstvo prosvete, nauke I tehnolokog razvoja Republike Srbije (Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia). In a variety of fields of study, Univerzitet Metropolitan (UM) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees.


This Serbian higher-education school, which is 15 years old, has a selective admission procedure based on entrance exams. With an admittance rate of 80-90 percent, this Serbian higher education institution is one of the least selective in the country. Students from all around the world are welcome to apply for admission. Students have access to a library, sports facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, online courses and distance learning options, and administrative services, among other academic and non-academic facilities and services.
