UPL Limited (formerly known as United Phosphorus Limited) is an Indian chemical manufacturing company with a presence in many countries around the world. UPL specializes in manufacturing chemicals used in industry, agriculture, chemical intermediates, special chemicals, and pesticides. UPL was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in India.
UPL operates in both agricultural and non-agricultural sectors. The agricultural segment provides the main source of revenue for the company through the production, sale and purchase of agrochemical products, seeds and other agricultural products.
