Valdis (Iceland)

Valdis is the most beloved ice cream store in the Icelandic capital. It has gone to the top of the industry in a blink of an eye and has maintained its position there for a long time. This hard-earned top spot is attributed to its persistent efforts to keep its goods up to date. Its annual income may reach hundreds of millions of dollars.

Initially, Valdis offered just the most basic flavors, like all other stores. However, they soon discovered that Icelanders are quite daring in ice cream flavor combinations. From then on, the first thing a Valdis employee would do upon welcoming a new guest is to inquire about the flavors they want to try out.

Interestingly, the most renowned flavors are all proposed by consumers. Tyrkisk Peber, salty peanuts and toffee, and seasoned hazelnut and chocolate are just a few examples among many. Valdis has experimented with over 400 flavors over the past five years, and more flavors are continuously being released.
