Victory Park
Victory Park is a popular destination for people of all ages in Yerevan. There are many exciting things to do and see here for you in order to enjoy the bustling atmosphere.
One of them is Mother Armenia which is dedicated to the victory of World War 2. The statue was considered a brilliant work of art by the sculptor Sergei Merkurov, with the pedestal created by architect Raphael Israelyan. The statue may be seen from nearly every corner of the city. Furthermore, it appears like Mother Armenia is watching over all Armenians. Mother Armenia is the female personification of Armenia, who is always ready to protect its people. It represents both peace and power. Every May 9th, thousands of people pay their respects to the slain Armenians by passing by the Mother Armenia statue.
The free Military History Museum is located within Mother Armenia's base and is divided into two sections: World War II and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which is obviously told from an Armenian perspective. The park is a peaceful area to go for a walk and unwind. There is also a small man-made pond and a couple carousels, at least one of which is popular with both children and adults.
