Voit
Voit, a sporting goods firm founded in 1922 by German-American entrepreneur William J. Voit, created the first one-piece rubber inflatable balls in the late 1920s. At the same time, the first needle-type air retention valve was invented and patented.
Voit introduced the first entirely rubber sports ball in 1931, which included vulcanization, a procedure that allowed the material to be stored separately in a rubber bag. They developed the icosahedral winding procedure, which allows the ball to be wrapped around the bladder with nylon thread, during the next few years. This ground-breaking method improves the ball's stability and strength while allowing mass manufacture via mechanical processing.
For years, Voit has been the Mexican League's official ball partner. Their list of achievements and partnerships, as well as the company's innovations and patents (which propelled them to new heights), make it one of the top soccer ball brands in the world.
