Volvo Trucks
Volvo Trucks is a Swedish truck manufacturing division situated in Gothenburg. Volvo Trucks was a separate division of Volvo. On January 1, 2012, the Volvo Group was reorganized, and as part of that process, Volvo Trucks ceased to exist as a separate company and was instead absorbed into Volvo Group Trucks, along with Volvo's other truck operations, such as Renault Trucks and Mack Trucks.
The first Volvo truck came off the assembly lines in 1928, and in 2016, Volvo Trucks employed over 52,000 people worldwide. Volvo produces and assembles its trucks in eight completely owned assembly plants and nine factories owned by local interests, with its worldwide headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. Volvo Trucks manufactures and sells over 190,000 units per year.
They are determined to lead the way and address global transportation concerns. They strive for a better everyday life for people in both urban and rural locations by utilizing their innovative power and partnering with other stakeholders in society. They explore how to lessen climate effects, use the world's resources more efficiently, and conduct business more responsibly in all of their acts. Climate, Resources, and People are central to the Volvo sustainability framework.
