Warriors' Path State Park
The Great Cherokee War and Trading Path inspired the creation of Warriors' Path State Park. Since then, the parkland has seen many tourists and is still a popular destination for modern-day outdoor enthusiasts. On the Holston River, the 950-acre park is located on the beaches of the Patrick Henry Reservoir.
The park offers premier boating and fishing opportunities, as well as hiking trails, an internationally known mountain biking trail system (marked as a National Recreational Trail), an award-winning nature education program. Warriors' Path also has an 18-hole golf course for visitors to enjoy. Horseback riding, fishing, and boating (rent a boat from the marina if you don't have one) are all options in addition to hiking and mountain biking. There are 134 campsites in the campground, as well as a seasonal swimming pool.
