Wellness Natural Pet Food, Holistic Select Natural Pet Food, Eagle Pack Natural Pet Food, and Old Mother Hubbard Natural Dog Snacks were bought by Berwind Corporation and combined to establish WellPet LLC. WellPet is based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. ''Your pet's welfare is at the core of all we do, which is why we do everything it takes to develop the best natural products for the pets who rely on us'' says WellPet's current motto.

WellPet was formed by the combination of two natural pet food specialized businesses. In January 2016, the company expanded once further with the acquisition of Sojo's, a raw pet food and gourmet treat maker located in the United States. Sojos rose to prominence in the burgeoning field of raw nutrition for pets, particularly freeze-dried raw pet food.

WellPet was created in January 2009 by the merger of two old-guard pet food companies: Old Mother Hubbard (started in 1926 in Gloucester, Massachusetts) and Eagle Pack Pet Foods (which dates back to 1970). Both companies were forerunners in the natural and holistic pet food industry.

The WellPet line includes Sojos, Wellness Natural Pet Food, Holistic Select, Old Mother Hubbard Natural Dog Snacks, and Eagle Pack Natural Pet Food.
