Will Smith
Willard Carroll Smith II (born September 25, 1968) is an American actor, rapper, and film producer better known by his stage name The Fresh Prince. Smith is widely regarded as a trailblazer in music, television, and cinema, and has received several honors, including four Grammy Awards and a Golden Globe Award, as well as nominations for four Academy Awards (including one for Best Picture) and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Time magazine named him one of the world's 100 most important people in 2006, while Esquire named him one of the 75 most influential individuals of the twenty-first century two years later. His films have generated more than $9.3 billion at the global box office as of 2021, and Smith maintains multiple US and foreign box office records.
Smith's portrayal of Bennet Omalu in Concussion (2015) was positively received, followed by portrayals of Deadshot in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) superhero film Suicide Squad (2016) and Genie in the live-action Aladdin (2019). Smith's portrayal of Richard Williams in King Richard (2021) was critically acclaimed, winning the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor, and receiving his third Academy Award nomination for the role.
