Womé waterfall

Womé waterfall located in the Womé village about 15 kilometers from the city center of Kpalimé, is a real treasure of natural, refreshing, and diverse landscape. Each year, thousands of visitors discover a favorable socio-cultural framework, peasant crops, and plantations, a landscape of green plateaus planted with funny forests, not to mention the natural waterfall of Womé. By cultural virtue of its traditions, its festivals, and its proximity to Ghana, Womé is a culturally rich village, a culture that bears witness to the life of the first inhabitants of the area and offers any tourist the opportunity to visit the stone-made seating under the palaver tree, ancestral deities and their history, ancient caves and also to better understand the traditional dances and leisure activities of the area.

The Womé waterfall reserves the freshness of its fresh water for countless tourists and nature lovers. It is embellished with immense vegetation but the grandeur of its peculiarity lies in the impression of a large isolated cave, which it gives to tourists. Thanks to the eternal presence of water in its basin, tourists can swim at will and in complete safety throughout the year. The falls are about 12km from Kpalime. Visitors pay the admission fee to the Association Akatamanso at the entrance of the village of Womé; then it’s a further 4km to the picnic area near the falls. From the picnic area, it's a short but steep descent to the waterfalls through lush vegetation. The Womé waterfall deserves to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Togo.
