  1. If you're looking for the world's largest screen, you've come to the right place. Not the world's largest screen, but the world's largest screen. In July 2017, it was reported that one of the auditoriums will be the first in the world to be outfitted with a 34-foot wide Samsung 4K LED display designed specifically for movie theaters.

Located in the Lotte World Mall's tower, South Korea's highest structure. In July of 2014, the Lotte Cinema World Tower opened its doors. Each of the building's 21 auditoriums has its own floor. The building's largest auditorium, the Super Plex G theater on the 123rd floor, has 622 seats. The Guinness Book of Records recognizes the screen as the World's Largest Screen, measuring 34 meters wide by 13.8 meters high. The Super Plex G resembles a two-story opera theater in appearance.

  2. The Megabox Cineplex is located in the COEX Mall. There are 16 theaters in all, and the décor is elegant and beautiful. It is located in Samsung Station between Jamsil and Gangnam and offers a variety of amenities and activities. For example, they host the "Mega European Film Festival," which allows Koreans to view European films that they don't want to miss.

Megabit's major attraction is the "Megaride" 4D movie theater. Granted, Megabox may not have the same large screens as the others, but what they lack in screen size they make up for with close proximity to the COEX retail mall's restaurants and cafés. It may become crowded around holidays and weekends, so arrive early and buy your tickets before going shopping. Their concession counter is also excellent and reasonably priced.

  3. This CGV, located near Hanyang University on Line 2, offers it all. The majority of new Korean and Hollywood films are available, and 4D screenings are also offered. It also has one of the largest IMAX cinemas in the world. "This is one of the best cinemas that I've gone to in years. The 4DX cinema was clean and spacious. It was easy to find an exit. Definitely will return soon", from a feedback viewer.

If you're planning to see a movie in IMAX, make sure you sit in rows J or K, which provide the best view. Unless you choose to sit at the back, the same can be said for all of the theaters. It's on the 5th floor of the Bitplex mall in Wangsimni, which is relatively close to a metro stop.

It's rather large, and moviegoers may upgrade to a more luxury leather sofa with pillows and cushions if they choose. If you want to get the complete IMAX experience, this CGV offers a massive 31.4 by 13m screen, one of Korea's largest. It's in the Stadium theater, which has a total of 50 speakers. A vibrating sound system is installed in some chairs. This CGV, like MEGABOX, is located in a mall so viewers may shop or dine before or after their screening.
