  1. The War Memorial of Korea is a museum in Seoul, South Korea, located in Yongsan-dong, Yongsan-gu. It opened in 1994 in the location of the former army headquarters to showcase and commemorate Korea's military history. It was established with the goal of averting conflict by learning from the Korean War and bringing North and South Korea together peacefully.

With over 33,000 war-related items, the War Memorial of Korea serves as a national moral teaching site, honoring the great sacrifice of South Korea's patriotic victims. The museum's six main interior halls, as well as the outdoor display hall of jumbo-sized weaponry, should be explored over several hours. The War History Room, which features Korean weaponry and war costumes from the ancient era to the late 1800s, is particularly interesting. In the Wartime Life Room, guests can walk through reconstructions of post-Korean Conflict communities to gain a better sense of what life was like in a practically destroyed Seoul in the decade after the war.
