The Independence Hall of Korea
In Cheonan, South Korea, the Independence Hall of Korea is a Korean historical museum. With a total floor space of 23,424 m2, it is South Korea's largest exposition building, having opened on August 15, 1987. The museum concentrates on the Japanese colonial period's freedom struggles, while the first display hall, The Hall of National Heritage, is dedicated to the period from prehistoric times to the Joseon Dynasty. It contains a Circle Vision Theater and seven indoor exhibition spaces.
The Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan has a total area of 23,424 m2 of interior and outdoor displays. There are over 90,000 pieces in 7 display rooms, ranging from antiquities from Korea's 5,000-year history to records relevant to freedom movements. When you first arrive at the Korean Independence Hall, you will notice a massive memorial sandwiched between the parking lot and the hall. This monument is a large-scale sculpture depicting the nation's birth. It serves as a symbol of the Korean people's independence.
