Following this, Hunter learns that the school will host a "Battle of the Bands," which inspires him to sign up his band, Skullfucker, with Kevin. Hunter fraudulently uses his father's AMEX card to purchase $13,500 worth of equipment, including a full drum set for Kevin.
Kevin begins practicing at school, and it turns out that Emily is a talented cellist during one of their sessions. As their relationship develops, Kevin decides to give Jessica a copy of the metal music playlist Hunter gave him as "homework."
