  1. Seoul Station is a South Korean animated zombie film written and directed by Yeon Sang-ho. Released on August 18, 2016, the film stars Ryu Seung-ryong, Shim Eun-kyung and Lee Joon in the lead roles. The film was shown at the 2016 Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.

"Seoul Station," director Yeon Sang-third ho's animated picture, is apparently a prequel to his 2016 international success "Train to Busan." However, it's pretty different from that zombie movie, but it's still a good watch. Hye-Sun is a sex worker who has left her conditions in "Seoul Station," only to discover that her lover plans to drag her back into her previous life. Meanwhile, her father is on the lookout for her as a zombie epidemic breaks out among the homeless at the titular train station. The film's deeper relevance comes from Yeon's use of the zombie framework to criticize Korean society's treatment of women, "social misfits," and the Korean military.

  2. Kwak Do-won, Hwang Jung-min, and Chun Woo-hee feature in The Wailing, a 2016 South Korean horror film directed by Na Hong-jin and starring Kwak Do-won, Hwang Jung-min, and Chun Woo-hee. In order to save his daughter, a police officer investigates a series of inexplicable homicides and illnesses in the secluded Korean town of Gokseong. The picture was a critical and economic triumph.

While not precisely a zombie film, "The Wailing" from South Korea employs zombie tropes and a zombie-like virus in its chilling tale of a little hamlet that goes to hell in a handbasket after the arrival of a mysterious visitor. A virus spreads quickly once the stranger arrives, and the people begin murdering one another. Sgt. Jeon Jong-gu must discover what is going on and put a stop to it, especially after his little daughter, Hyo-jin, is infected. Talk of ghosts, exorcisms, and other supernatural horrors, including a scary zombie onslaught, are all part of the deal. It's a kitchen sink of monstrosities with a long runtime, but "The Wailing" is well worth the trek to discover what's gone wrong.

  3. The Night Eats the World is a French zombie film directed by Dominique Rocher and written by Jérémie Guez, Guillaume Lemans, and Rocher. It is based on Pit Agarman's novel of the same name. Anders Danielsen Lie, Golshifteh Farahani, and Denis Lavant appear in the film, which follows Sam (Danielsen Lie) through a zombie apocalypse that sweeps over Paris. On January 13, 2018, the film premiered at the Angers Film Festival, and on March 7, 2018, it was released theatrically in France.

There's nothing quite like crashing a party by accident and waking up alone in a world overrun with zombies. That's what happens to musician Sam, who goes to get his tapes from his ex-girlfriend, only to discover she's entertaining a few pals. After being accidentally punched in the face by a partygoer, Sam falls asleep, and when he wakes up, his flat is a gory mess, and his ex is a zombie. "The Night Eats the World" prefers turbo-zombies a la "28 Days Later," and these beasts don't even make a sound. Sam's loneliness is driving him insane, but is he truly the only survivor? And if he doesn't, how will he find others if he's frightened to leave the protection of his home?

  4. Jung Jae-young, Kim Nam-gil, Uhm Ji-won, Lee Soo-kyung, Jung Ga-ram, and Park In-hwan feature in Lee Min-Jae's 2019 South Korean zombie comedy film Zombie For Sale.

What do you do if you find a zombie whose bite reinvigorates senior citizens? If you're the Park family, you take advantage of that young man's misfortune because what could possibly go wrong? In this humorous yet moving take on the zombie legend, there's a lot. As Jjong-bi — the name given to the young guy by his new "bosses" — is exploited, first by the scientists whose experiments zombify him and later by the Parks, director Lee Min-Jae explores familial dysfunction and the hazards of business and science gone awry. The film, which is also known as " Zombie For Sale," wins credit for being both a societal satire and a compassionate look at a family that will do everything for each other, no matter how strange things get.

  5. White Zombie is a 1932 American pre-Code horror film directed by Victor Halperin and produced independently by Edward Halperin. The script by Garnett Weston is based on William Seabrook's novel The Magic Island, and it tells the story of a young lady who is turned into a zombie by an evil voodoo master. Madge Bellamy plays the zombie master "Murder" Legendre, while Bela Lugosi plays his victim. Joseph Cawthorn, Robert W. Frazer, John Harron, Brandon Hurst, and George Burr MacAnnan round out the cast.

Although there are no brain-eating creatures in "White Zombie," it is a classic zombie film. There is one "monster," but he's Bela Lugosi, so he basically consumes scenery. Murder Legendre is played by the great Bela Lugosi, a wicked voodoo master who can transform humans into zombies and make them do his will. Plantation owner Charles, who has fallen for Madeleine despite the fact that she is betrothed to someone else, asks him to do precisely that. "White Zombie" gets away with some immorality since it was made before the Hays Code was enacted, but the true reasons to see it are for its iconic stature and Lugosi's over-the-top, hilarious acting.

  6. The film Dead & Buried, directed by Gary Sherman and starring Melody Anderson, Jack Albertson, and James Farentino, was released in 1981. Albertson's final live-action film performance was in this picture, in which he died six months after its premiere.

"Dead and Buried" is a famous horror film that combines zombies in the style of "White Zombie" with strange tiny communities. It also has special effects by Stan Winston, the late FX maestro. Tourists begin to be murdered at Potters Bluff, and the town's sheriff, Dan Gillis, is determined to figure out why. The problem is that the people do not remain dead. In his final picture, Jack Albertson portrays Dobbs as the coroner, who may or may not be related to the bizarre happenings taking place in town.

  7. Kyle Rankin directed Night of the Living Deb, a 2015 American romantic zombie comedy film. Maria Thayer, Michael Cassidy, Ray Wise, and Chris Marquette feature in the film. Thayer plays an uncomfortable lady who wakes up in the middle of a zombie apocalypse after a one-night stand.

"Night of the Living Deb" is a zombie rom-com in which Maria Thayer's Deb wakes up with Michael Cassidy's Ryan after a purported one-night stand — neither of them recalls what occurred — and finds out that zombies are loose. They travel together to his family's house, arguing the entire way. Of course, this implies they're falling in love, but they must first survive the zombie apocalypse and escape being devoured. Deb, played by Thayer, is endearingly uncomfortable and carries the picture, with Ray Wise, who plays Ryan's father and adds his own charm to the proceedings.

  8. Quarantine 2: Terminal is a 2011 American horror film that is a sequel to Quarantine, which was released in 2008. Marc Bienstock produced the film, which was written and directed by John Pogue. Mercedes Mason, Josh Cooke, and Mattie Liptak star as passengers on a plane where the mutant rabies virus from the previous film has spread, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing at a terminal that is quickly surrounded by the government, trapping the passengers and crew as they search for answers and a way out.

Despite the fact that "Quarantine 2: Terminal" is a sequel to 2008's "Quarantine," it takes a completely different path from the Spanish "Rec" series that served as the inspiration for the first film. In the film, rats are responsible for transmitting a zombie virus to humans, this time to passengers on an aircraft on their way to Kansas City. After the plane makes an emergency landing, the passengers learn that they are not permitted to enter the terminal. As the military and the CDC struggle to corral the passengers and limit the spread, it becomes a war for survival. The zombie plague is spread by animals other than rats, and the infection causes afflicted people to act like rats.

  9. Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, Ma Dong-seok, Kim Su-an, Choi Woo-shik, Ahn So-hee, and Kim Eui-sung feature in the 2016 South Korean action horror thriller Train to Busan. The majority of the film takes place aboard a high-speed train traveling from Seoul to Busan while a zombie apocalypse strikes the country, endangering the passengers' lives.

Seok-woo, a divorced investment manager, isn't the finest father to his daughter Su-An. He brings her to Busan to meet her mother via train after screwing up her birthday. Unfortunately, a zombie outbreak is sweeping the country, and one of the contaminated boards was discovered at the last minute. "Train to Busan" examines class distinctions and capitalism via the epidemic — other passengers include a greedy COO, a homeless guy, and a group of youngsters – but familial relationships, whether by blood or circumstance, are at its foundation. Prepare to sob uncontrollably.

  10. Night of the Living Dead is a 1968 American independent horror film written, directed, photographed and edited by George A. Romero, co-written by John Russo, and starring Duane Jones and Judith O'Dea. The story follows seven people who are trapped in a rural farmhouse in western Pennsylvania, which is under assault by an enlarging group of cannibalistic, undead ghouls.

Barbra and her brother, Johnny, are accosted by a weird, lumbering creature while visiting a graveyard. Barbra winds up to a farmhouse where others are already sheltering after Johnny is slain. One of their number, the brave Ben, uses his ingenuity to keep the gang safe – for a time. As the home is besieged by zombie ghouls seeking brains, tensions quickly flare. The claustrophobic and persistent sense of dread in this low-budget horror film is one of the reasons it has persisted as a cult classic. It also has a fascinating undertone concerning the Vietnam War and race relations in the United States.
