One of the very first interesting facts about Elagabalus is he was the youngest Roman emperor. Macrinus' successor Elagabalus took over at the young age of 14. To take the throne, Macrinus killed Emperor Caracalla. He may, however, hold the throne as Emperor for a very long time. Macrinus had exiled Julia Maesa, her two children, and her oldest grandson, Elagabalus, out of fear of losing his crown. Julia, however, went back to Syria and hatched a plan to depose Macrinus. She started spreading falsehoods with the assistance of Grannys, Elagabalus's mentor, and counselor. She declared that Elagabalus was the illegitimate child of the emperor Caracalla and that he was destined to succeed Caracalla as king.

Elagabalus was carried into the Third Legion's camp on May 16, 218 AD. He acquired talents while residing at the base, and the Roman commander Comazon finally proclaimed him to be the Emperor.

Grannys, a newly appointed Roman commander, beat Macrinus and his troops on June 8th, 218 A.D. Macrinus was unable to flee Rome by navigating the Bosporus at Cappadocia. But he was also murdered with his nine-year-old son Diadumenianus. And Macrinus also perished quickly. The Senator then declared Elagabalus to be the next ruler of the Roman Empire. Like many previous Roman Emperors, Elagabalus, the youngest, had an unstable marital situation. He was married four times, once to a man and three times to a woman.

On August 29, 219 AD, he wed Julia Cornelia Paula, his first wife. She and he were married for a year until he decided to end their union on August 28, 220 AD. His second spouse was Julia Aquilia Severa, who was once known as Vestal Virgin. After he had raped her to sire godlike offspring from her, she was compelled to wed him. Elagabalus' third wife was Annia Aurelia Faustina, who was descended from Marcus Aurelius. To marry Annia, he had Pomponius Bassus put to death. Elagabalus divorced Annia Faustina and wedded Aquilia Severa during his reign last year, nevertheless. Despite having three wives, he never had children.

Elagabalus' mixed feelings for men and women made his sexual orientation unclear. He wed Hierocles, a former slave and charioteer from Caria, following his second divorce from Aquilia.

He would put on a wig, rouge his cheeks, and paint his eyes to seem feminine. He was looking for a doctor because he wanted to have a female organ by having the male organ removed.

Elagabalus routinely went to brothels, drove to the prostitutes, and marketed himself as one. He had a private space in his palace where he could engage in immoral behavior. He would display his nakedness for all to see at the room's entrance. To attract males, he also built a common Roman bath.

Women’s Senate was created by Elagabalus, which was one of the most interesting facts about Elagabalus. His family, particularly the female members, made significant contributions. Julia Soaemis, his mother, and Julia Maesa, his grandmother, were ardent supporters. They supported Elagabalus right away, and his grandma in particular played a significant role in his life. He was able to become an Emperor as a result of her approach.

In the beginning, he was not aware of his state's actions. Elagabalus' mom and grandmothers guided him through administrative tasks and made all of the decisions. Elagabalus had bestowed the title of Augusta and the right to attend Senate sessions to his mother and grandmother. An uncommon honor for Roman women, their significant position could be observed on several coins and inscriptions. Before Elagabalus allowed his mother and grandmother to lead him throughout his reign, women were not permitted to sit in the Senate.

The "Whoopee cushion" is said to have been created by Elagabalus during his rule. Elagabalus invited folks to supper with him using this cuisine. Elagabalus also engaged in other disruptive behaviors. He once gathered a ton of cigarettes and let them fly into the crowd, suffocating everyone. Elagabalus broke up regular gatherings of individuals to play games. He increased his dictatorship by using exotic creatures like camels or elephants to pull chariots through the streets. People were afraid to cross the street because of Elagabalus' infamous behavior.

Elagabalus had a close bond with his grandma. From his conception till his passing, she was there for him. He was never responsible since he was created as an emperor at a young age. His mother and grandma had to be there for him and help him.

He would, however, spend his time dancing about the altar of the Egabal temple. He would squander the Empire's wealth on lavish purchases like gold chamber pots and exotic delicacies. Elagabalus never bothered to bring up state-related issues or progress. In regard to the empire, he lacked extreme caution. The cops would be chosen depending on the size of their genitalia.

Elagabalus was compelled to declare his successor when he was unable to have children. The senior Emperor was declared to be Julia Mamaea Bassianus' son, Bassianus Alexanus. He began preparing to have Alexanus put to death when he realized that his cousin posed a danger to his rule. This caused the family to become separated. Elagabalus was sponsored by Julia Soaemis. Alexius was surrounded by Julia Maesa and Julia Mamaea on the opposite side. Alexius was to be put to death by Elagabalus' decree, but the order was rejected by the guards. Maesa offered them bribes. Elagabalus and his mother Julia Soaemis were put to death on Julia Maesa on March 13, 222 AD. They were carried through Rome's streets after being beheaded.
