The best viewing point of the city overlook is the World War I memorial, which is located close to the Kumuzu Banda statue (the first President of Malawi). The Parliament, the Stadium, and various parts of the city may be seen from a high vantage point.

The brick St. Michael and All Angels Church was built at the Blantyre Mission in Blantyre, Malawi, between 1888 and 1891. It is part of the Church of Central Africa, Presbyterian's Blantyre Synod, and is located on the original Scottish mission site, off Chileka Rd. It has been associated with Hiland Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, since 1991.

Rev. David Clement Scott, who had no professional architectural background, designed and oversaw the construction of the church. Local men with no prior experience in this type of construction provided labor. All the bricks were manufactured on-site from local clay and burned in kilns powered by wood. Eighty-one different types of bricks are thought to have been utilized in the construction. The most typical bricks are 12 by 6 by 3 inches in size and are laid up in English bond.

Arches, domes, and flying buttresses are among the design and structural aspects. The two skyscrapers aren't the same. The angle between the south-western tower and the south aisle wall is filled with a Moorish domed bell tower with a circular staircase. The interior consists of a Byzantine arcade of six arches.

From 1902 to the 1960s, the King's African Rifles (KAR) was a multi-battalion British colonial regiment established from Britain's different East African colonies. During World Wars I and II, it operated in both military and internal security roles within colonial territories, as well as serving beyond these areas. The King African Rifles Monument is an outstanding red-brick memorial honoring Malawi's soldiers who fought in WWI and WWII. The King's African Rifles were formed in 1902 when the British forces in East and Central Africa were merged and renamed.

Climb the stairs to the little hill's monument to discover more about the battalion's valor, which was demonstrated on battlefronts all around the world. The first president of Malawi, Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda, is buried in Kamuzu Mausoleum, which is located on the Presidential Way near to the parliament building. The mausoleum's construction was completed in 2006.

The letters of his most treasured ideals, 'Unity,' 'Loyalty,' 'Discipline,' and 'Obedience,' are carved onto four pillars in this marble and granite tomb, and his photo adorns the entryway.

Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda was born on May 14, 1898, and reigned from 1961 to 1994, dying on November 25, 1997, at the age of 99. Tourists who want to learn more about Malawi's founding father, known as "The Lion," can do so at the mausoleum's library and study center.
