Saint Lucia Jazz Festival has grown into one of the country's most important events, as well as one of the most awaited on the Caribbean calendar.

The annual Saint Lucia Jazz Festival brings renowned performers' saxophones, trumpets, and bass guitars to the Caribbean island. Each year as May approaches, Saint Lucia Jazz draws worldwide interest to the island as the world waits for the announcement of the regular star-studded lineup. R&B and jazz singer Ledisi, trumpeter Etienne Charles, and six-time Grammy-winning bassist Christian McBride have all performed in previous lineups.

One of the most famous festivals in Saint Lucia is Fishermen’s Feast. The fishermen of St Lucia commemorate this yearly holiday on the final Sunday of June, which is similar to Thanksgiving in the United States. An early morning liturgy is followed by a traditional blessing of the elaborately painted boats. It's vibrant and holds a special meaning for the local fisherman. The islands' fishermen's cooperatives collaborated on this festivity. They all have different events going on at the same time, but they all begin with a church service and then move on to parties, lunches, and other sorts of entertainment.

Fishermen see this holiday as one of the most significant on their calendar, since it allows them to express gratitude for another year of good fortune and plentiful catches. The annual Saint Lucia Carnival, the island's most well-known event, is a month-long celebration and mash-up of Saint Lucian art, culture, music, and dancing.

The Carnival procession puts the Saint Lucian Carnival celebrations to a close. Carnival Queen, Calypso Monarch, Panorama Champions, and Party Monarch are just a few of the titles that have already been chosen. Carnival Monday and Tuesday are a riot of color and song as bands compete for the coveted title of "Band of the Year".

J'ouvert street parties, boat rides, music, and more are all part of the carnival's jam-packed agenda, which culminates in a two-day parade. Locals and costumed dancers move to the music in a celebration of Caribbean culture, which is provided by live bands and DJs.

A Roots & Soul dedicated to musicians who are breaking new ground in reggae, conscious hip-hop, Afropunk, and R&B, including concerts, master courses, and meetings between artists and other musicians will perform during the three-day Roots & Soul event in St Lucia. As with Saint Lucia Jazz, there will be both free and paid concerts across the island, ending at the Pigeon Island National Landmark. This is one of the most famous festivals in Saint Lucia.

UB40, Lee John, Mya, and Ginuwine have all performed on the main stage on Pigeon Island in the past. Keep an eye on the official website of St. Lucia to see who will be performing this year.

The Creole Heritage Month concludes on the final Sunday of October with Jounen Kwéyl, a day dedicated to the island's history. Since 1986, the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) has been an annual transatlantic sailing event for cruiser boats. It also involves a racing sailing competition. ARC begins in late November in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and concludes just before Christmas in Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia, in the Caribbean.

Every year, nearly 200 yachts sail from Gran Canaria to Saint Lucia in the world's largest transoceanic sailing event. The 2,700 nautical mile journey takes two to three weeks and ends in Rodney Bay marina, where bands and celebrations await the sailors. Every boat is greeted with rum punch, fresh fruit, and ice cold beer. The welcoming party will be waiting for you at any time of day or night! There is so much to do on Saint Lucia that many boats stay for Christmas, taking advantage of the friendly Saint Lucian hospitality and the lovely island.
