Creole Heritage Month
During this month-long event, discover St Lucia's rich cultural, ethnic, and creative legacy via art, music, gastronomy, and more. Each year, four townships or towns are chosen to host the celebrations, so keep an eye out for further information as the day approaches.
Around the month of Creole Heritage Month, expect to witness colorful madras fabric worn by residents and utilized in decoration throughout the island, storytelling dances and shows in community areas, and genuine Creole food in many resorts and restaurants.
The Creole Heritage Month concludes on the final Sunday of October with Jounen Kwéyl, a day dedicated to the island's history. Make a point of stopping by to eat some of the authentic St Lucian cuisine on offer and to dance the night away in the parade. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn more about St Lucia's history while having a wonderful time.
