Abrolhos Archipelago Islands

This location, Abrolhos Archipelago, is one of the best dive sites in Brazil and consists of five volcanic islands. Except for a few lighthouse employees, the area is empty. In Brazil, its serene and tranquil beauty is recognized as a scuba diving sanctuary. Many undersea delights await to take you into the mystical world of the sea. This location's diverse environment includes over 270 different types of reefs, shore fishes, loggerhead sea turtles, green sea turtles, manta rays, and dolphins. You may also look for octopus, nudibranchs, and other crabs. The humpback whales, which visit this area from November to July, remain the major draw.

Dive inside and get a close look at these majestic beasts that weigh over 40 tonnes and have infants who are just 3 meters long. Who would have thought that these newborn whales could swallow up to 200 liters of milk in a single day! These islands are only accessible by boat, and it takes two to three days to fully appreciate the wonderful scenery of this location.
