Recife

Recife is the capital of the state of Pernambuco, and it gets its name from the many reefs, also known as recifes in Portuguese, that surround its shores. This breathtaking location is made up of rivers, bridges, beaches, and islets. Recife has been dubbed "the Venice of Brazil" because of the numerous canals that span the territory. This is a fantastic location for daring divers. The primary underwater attractions in this region are the more than 30 shipwrecks, which range from historic ships from the nineteenth century to man-made wrecks. All year long, there is good visibility and warm water. Recife offers the greatest sailing conditions from September to May.

Recife features amazing local cuisine, excellent restaurants, and a large range of hotels and hostels. The neighboring town of Olinda is a historic UNESCO World Heritage Site; this lovely town is rich with colonial mansions, baroque churches from the Portuguese colonists, and lovely gardens. Recife and Olinda are both world-famous for their carnivals; visit during February to take part in the festivities. You might also go to Boa Viagem. Recife's southern section is ideal for a pleasant beach vacation. You can expect excellent diving, food, and sightseeing in Recife.
