Bonito
This site is one of the best dive sites for everyone who wants to experience the world beneath the waves. It is regarded as one of the top ecological attractions in Brazil. The diving site known as Abismo Anhumas is a vast cavern decorated with stalactites that offer diving in this underground lake. With the turquoise-colored lake waters sparkling from the lights above, the magnificence of the site is likely to steal your breath away. To get to the lake, you'll have to abseil 72 meters down. Snorkeling is permitted for non-qualified divers, however only certified divers are permitted to dive within the lake using a cylinder up to a distance of 18 meters.
The little hamlet of Bonito is located in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, in a distinctively landlocked situation. Surprisingly, some of Brazil's most exciting underwater activities are only a short distance away from this environmentally conscious town. Bonito is a perfect stop either before or after an epic wildlife-watching trip to the Pantanal, so spend a couple of days exploring the savanna's secret oasis for a watery adventure.
