Aegean Airlines
Aegean Airlines S.A. is Greece's flag carrier airline and the largest Greek airline in terms of total passengers transported, the number of destinations serviced, and fleet size. Since June 2010, it has been a Star Alliance member, operating scheduled and charter routes from Athens and Thessaloniki to other main Greek cities, as well as a number of European and Middle Eastern destinations. Athens International Airport in Athens, Macedonia International Airport in Thessaloniki, and Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus are its primary hubs. It also uses other Greek airports as bases, some of which are seasonal. Its headquarters are in Kifisia, an Athens suburb.
Aegean Airlines is one of the largest airlines in terms of both passenger numbers and routes served. It was first offered to the globe in 1987, but it did not begin operations until 1999. It serves almost all destinations in Europe and uses the main airport of Athens as its hub. It recently began flights to many European islands that were in high demand by the public. It is ranked in the 30th position in the overall ranking of the airlines of the world.
