KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, officially Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij N.V. (literally: Royal Aviation Company, Inc.), is the Dutch flag carrier airline. KLM is based in Amstelveen and has its main hub at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It is a subsidiary of Air France–KLM and a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance. KLM was founded in 1919 and is the world's oldest running airline, with 35,488 workers and a fleet of 110 (excluding subsidiaries) as of 2021. KLM offers scheduled passenger and cargo flights to 145 locations worldwide.

It started its operations in 1919 and was regarded as the oldest airline in the world. It presently serves around 130 different freight and passenger destinations throughout the world. It is a highly fancy airline that offers all sorts of classes on planes such as business class and economy class. It has also been named the safest airline in the world. This airline is ranked 32nd out of all the airlines that operate throughout the world.

KLM laid off at least 6,000 people as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. It also stated that the government's intention to have all passengers and personnel COVID-19 tested before flying will have an impact on its flights. Air France-KLM announced an order for 100 Airbus A320neos to be split between Transavia and KLM on December 16, 2021.
